I am a member of the Writer’s League of Texas and San Gabriel Writer’s League. I have a B.A. in Psychology, and AAS in Health Care, an AAS in Paralegal. Spending the majority of my life working as a health care practitioner, educator, state prison employee, paralegal, and investigator for a county probation department, has given me a rare insight into the minds of people who complicate their lives through critical thinking errors. Those traits are incorporated into the characters in my writing.
As a companion piece for my Stress Management Seminars, I wrote a book titled “Whose Problem is it Anyway” which is a collection of seven short stories narrated by an empathetic cat. Each story is linked to the others by the presence of the empathetic cat who analyzes the major stressor in the protagonist’s life and uses everyday experiences to show how using one simple technique can reduce a lot of stress. The index lists stories with titles such as; Learn to Ride a Roller Coaster, Learn to Flip a Coin, and Learn to Forgive Yourself.
I am working on my first novel, ‘For Rose; A Bull Rider’s Revenge,’ and have a great coach, Mr. John Lehman, who is patiently guiding me to improve my writing skills. That novel is featured on my web page, and I invite you visit that site. I am currently outlining a yet untitled sequel to ‘For Rose’.
